APPROPRIATIONS TRACKER

Updated September 19, 2025: The FFIS Appropriations Tracker lists appropriations for approximately 500 programs. This update incorporates amounts from the most recent House and Senate bills for FY 2026, most notably the House Labor-Health and Human Services-Education bill.

Navigating the Tracker

The Appropriations Tracker is an Excel workbook file with five tabs:

  • The Full Table tab lists:
    • Enacted appropriations in FYs 2022-2025
    • Proposed amounts in the president’s budget for FY 2026
    • Proposed amounts in the most recent House and Senate bills for FY 2026 (none of which has become law), with blanks if the amounts have not yet been released
  • The Appropriations Status tab shows the status of FY 2026 House and Senate appropriations processes as of September 19, 2025.
  • The Amounts by Agency tab contains an interactive table, allowing the user to list and summarize appropriations by department/agency and office/account.
  • The Summary Chart tab provides an interactive PivotChart that can be filtered by agency.
  • The Abbreviations tab lists acronyms used in the workbook.
